A tasty variation to our traditional chili. Loaded with sweet potatoes, hominy, black beans, garlic & spices! Topped with cilantro, avocado, sour cream & green onions. Pairs deliciously with our 2018 Zinfandel and 2020 Marsanne.
Ingredients
  • 1 Large Onion
  • 1 Large Sweet Potato
  • 4 Cloves of Garlic
  • 15 ozs Can of Black Beans
  • 15 ozs Hominy
  • 1 Small can of Diced Chili Peppers
  • 3 cups Vegetable Broth
  • 15 ozs Can of Diced Tomatoes
  • cup 1/2 cup Red Wine (your choice)
  • 1 tbsp Chili Powder
  • 2 tsps Cumin
  • 2 tsps Sweet Paprika
  • 2 Cinnamon Sticks
  • 2 Bay Leaves
Directions

Sautee onions and chopped garlic in 2 tbls olive oil until tender.
Add vegetable broth, tomatoes, beans, hominy, and diced chili peppers.
Add seasoning with a 1/2 cup of wine.
Simmer on low for several hours.
