Take your ribeye steak to the next level with this flavorful marinade. This marinade starts with a base of soy, worcestershire, oregano, mustard and garlic or aromatic Brazilian sofrito. It delivers a perfect balance of savory and umami flavors, while whole grain Dijon mustard adds a tangy kick. Fresh thyme or parsley brings an herbaceous note, and dried oregano layers in earthy undertones. The robust mixture deeply penetrates the meat, creating a tender and juicy steak with a complex flavor profile. Let the ribeye marinate to allow the garlic, mustard, and soy to complement the rich, marbled cut, while the Brazilian sofrito adds depth and brightness. Grilled or seared to perfection, this dish promises a mouthwatering experience with every bite.
Ingredients
  • 2 Ribeye Steaks
  • 2 tbsps Canola Oil
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tsp Dry Oregano
  • 1/2 tsp Maille Old Style Whole Grain Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Brazilian Sofrito or 3 Garlic Cloves minced
  • 2 tbsps Unsalted Butter
  • Fresh Thyme or parsley for garnish
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
Directions

1. Season the steaks with salt and pepper, on both sides, and set aside.

2. In a small bowl or measuring cup, mix in the soy, worcestershire, oregano, mustard and garlic.

3. Add the steaks and the marinade to a ziploc bag and let it marinate on the counter for at least 15 min. to no longer than an hour.

4. When the steaks are done marinating, remove them from the ziploc bag and pat them dry with a paper towel.

5. Heat a large 12 in. cast iron skillet until it starts to "smoke". Add the oil, and then the steaks and let them sear until enough of the crust has formed and the steaks no longer stick to the pan. Flip and repeat until desired doneness. Transfer steaks to a cutting board and let them rest 5 min. before cutting. Top the steaks with butter, sprinkle some finishing salt and fresh herbs for serving.

6. Serve and Enjoy!
