Mulled Wine also known as Gluwein in Germany is a longtime tradition of the holidays. This version is made with white wine and using the Bumgarner Late Harvest Viognier is a lovely winter warmer without added sugar.
  • 2 Bumgarner Late Harvest Viognier
  • 3 cinnamon sticks broken
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1/2 lime, sliced
  • 5 all spice seeds, whole
  • 2 cardamom pods

Stud the orange slices with the cloves. Add the orange slices, lime slices, cinnamon, allspice, and cardamom pods to the wine over low heat. Heat for a couple of hours not exceeding 180 degrees. Remove orange and lime slices to prevent bitterness. Serve with fresh slices as garnish.
