Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
The 2017 Many Hands is a cuvée is made from 100% Duarte Georgetown Vineyard fruit. The alpine breezes flowing down off the high Sierras cool these cool high elevation vineyards and allow these grapes to mature slowly while retaining their natural acidity.
Production Notes
The grapes were sorted and de-stemmed. Musts were cold soaked for 3 days then inoculated with cultured yeasts. Manual punch downs were carried out three times a day, with a total maceration time of 14 days. To showcase the elegance of our Cuvée aging was carried out in 100% French oak with about 40% new oak integrating the oak flavors with the fruit. The wine was aged in Barrel for 36 months before bottling without fining or filtration.
Winemaker Notes
This Bordeaux harmoniously blended cuvée displays strength and balance and shows ripe fruit and subtle spices. It is full bodied, yet is silky smooth on the palate with a long finish. This wine layers in notes of black cherry and cassis, violets, anise and incense cedar on the finish.  It will be exciting to see how this wine develops over the next decade.
